What stands out to me in The Message is: 21Parents, don’t come down too hard on your children or you’ll crush their spirits. I think we tend to put too much pressure on our children to meet all of our expectations. Do we remember when we were their age and what the pressure did to us? It is true that if you put yourself in the other person’s shoes, our children included, it will affect how we treat them. Christ is where we get the balance and unconditional love we so desperately need and He just waiting for us to ask Him!
